ASC crash test sensors fulfil the standard SAE J211.
They are placed in critical positions in all types of crash tests, as specified by the motor manufacturers and the international organisation of the mobility industry, SAE. Furthermore ASC accelerometers are also used in active driving safety
and provide valuable measurement data in many types of tests of movement dynamics and operational stability.

ASC sensors are used throughout the world in “windmilling” tests to monitor aircraft engines. The vibrations are simulated and measured on test stands. ASC sensors
are also used in test flights to measure vibrations in the air inlets in the interior of the aircraft.
These measurements are also referred to
as the flutter test.

to wind turbines. They record external factors which affect wind turbines – e.g. strong gusts of wind which can lead to severe movements of the nacelle, and consequently the shaft.
In “vibration monitoring”, the swinging and vibrations
of the transmission, generator and rotors are permanently measured in order to switch off the installation automatically when defined threshold values are reached.
